Yep, that loss still hurts the next day, for us to be the team we all want and are growing to expect, we must win our home games. We already have a road win to take up the slack for last night but we can't afford any more home losses, and I am serious about that. We can't rely on this team to win on the road consistently in the SEC, a lot of really good teams struggle to win conference road games. To me we are not quite really good yet because we have not shown enough consistency day in and day out, close but not quite there yet. Friday I will be previewing the other Bulldogs but if you think Brian Williams is a big dude, wait until you see Sidney from Miss State. In case you didn't see the new look of Stegman, check it out.

Recruiting takes center stage tomorrow in Winnersville, USA, aka Valdosta, GA. Up first is Jay Rome, making his announcement at 5:30 on live TV, ESPNU I believe. Then at 7pm, Malcolm Mitchell announces at a local restaurant. All indications are that Rome will be wearing the hat with the big "G" while Mitchell, seems to be more speculation that he is headed to Bama. Ray Drew will be attending both, guessing he is friends with both these guys but that has lead many to speculate the two are attending the same school, along with Drew. I think at this point, most consider Rome more a lock to UGA than Mitchell to Bama, so maybe, just maybe we get both. Speaking of Drew, he has now moved up his announcement to January 28th. So, we might only be waiting on Crowell on signing day after all or waiting for some flips. Also, tomorrow a young man I admit I know very little about Deion Barnes from Philly, is expected to chose between Penn State and Ga. I would say the odds of UGA getting this kid would be about 1%, as how often does a kid in that state come down south to play college football, turning down the legend JoePa.
A number of our recruits/targets show up on the Rivals 250, see below. If we can close strong, this class can really be considered a "dream team" type class, although it would be nice to flip a few kids at the last minute. I still don't know how we are going to fill all our spots, Tanner Strickland just announced today he is not coming back for his last year. That opens up another sport. I have also read UGA is trying to talk Xavier Ward, the OT from Colquitt to "grayshirt" which means sign with us but then sit out a year, not enrolling until spring of 2012. Seems like he would just take a regular spot with another school, most expect him to land at AU. Ok, here is the Rivals 250.

Just read that Stacy Searels and his wife boarded a jet for Austin, Texas. Rumors are he is interviewing for the vacant OL job there. Now, I hate staff shakeup honestly but I have mentioned before to me the position on our team that did less with more would be our OL. So, if Searels want to go, I don't think that would be a bad move. Bring in a solid OL coach that maybe also has some experience with gameplanning, might help with Bobo as well. We shall see what happens with this one.
