READING BETWEEN THE LINES

When you see this, just know this is strictly my opinion of what I THINK is going to happen, nothing more and nothing less. So you could say this would be my RUMOR MILL section.

From what I have been able to read from various sources, my prediction on our recruiting class is as follows-

These guys appear headed to Athens and will sign this Feb-

I. Crowell
J. Rome
D. Swann
X. Dickson
S.Seay

These guys are less likely but I still like our chances, say maybe 80% (I have to say this is falling fast)

Q. Bray (now I might need to change this from various places I have read he is a AU lean-50/50 for him)
R. Drew (continues to say he doesn't like our 3-4 defense???)

These guys are more like 50-50 to me at this point

J. Jenkins
M. Mitchell

We have a total of 16 verbal pledges right now, with I am thinking two early enrollees, LeMay and Conley. Just assuming we can sign 25, with Nick Williams leaving the program, I come up with probably about 12 more spots left for this class (taking 3 away from the 16 actual verbals), the above if we hit 100% gives us 3 more spots. Of course you have a few guys that might come out of nowhere (Gabe Wright, Pagan, Fanning) and then there are a couple guys down in Florida that we are recruiting-one being Ramik Wilson. Bottom line, it appears that despite two down years, the UGA coaches are doing a fine job on the recruiting trail. Now, the question remains if they can coach these guy up or in regards to the 2011 class, if they will get the opportunity to work with them more than a year but considering all the negative surrounding our program right now, I am really hoping we land a HUGE and talented recruiting class this year. If Richt is here beyond 2011, I will feel good about the talent base, if a new coach comes in, Richt will have helped the new guy tremendously with this class.
