Great day on Saturday for UGA

First of all, outstanding win for the Hoops team, before that happened of course Mr. Swann committed-a MUCH needed boost to our football program and he hinted more good news is coming soon for the program. After watching a little bit of the game, the end, I am hoping that means Drew is headed our way-he was overpowering late. Anway, Swann really helps our depth in the secondary and hopefully we will get Mitchell as well, to go along with Bowman and Nick Marshall and Corey Moore.

Back to Hoops, very impressive performance in a game we really needed. You can tell UK is a talented team, the way they moved the ball offensively, the way they can shoot the three, they are going to be a force to be reckoned with as this season progresses. But, I also think we will be as well because we have a veteran group of players and they are gaining confidence along the way. I was most happy with the free throw shooting, especially that of Gerald Robinson who came in shooting at a 53% clip I think it was. He missed one FT the entire game, I think he was around 10-11 range, something along those lines but need to check the box. Leslie, Trey, Robinson all in double figures, not many teams in our league have three guys like we do. I really like our chances to have a great season, that game was a must win and I was pretty much saying that last week. This is not to say we couldn't have had a good SEC season with that loss but let's just say the win really bodes well considering we have a tough game at Vandy on Wed night. Great job by Coach Fox, our players and fans-they did a great job yesterday. I have read that we have a bunch of talented recruits at the game yesterday as well. Coach Fox has this program heading in a great direction. I have a feeling very soon McGarity will be sitting down to sign him to a nice raise and extentsion to his current contract.

Now today we learn that AJ is indeed declaring for the NFL draft, no shock there. I personally would be disappointed if he did come back, sure selfishly I would love him back but for his own good he needed to go. He was a man against boys in college and he stands to become a very wealthy man which will take care of himself and his family. You can tell that AJ loves UGA and always will so I have a feeling he will be a guy that will come back and support the program for years to come. He will be missed but not forgotten. Now we need to recruit some WR's and have our current guys step up, it is your time Marlon Brown and TKing. Good luck AJ and thanks for all your efforts in the red and black. Now we just wait for Houston, Glenn and Boykin. Sturdy is coming back, great news for Murray's blind side!! I am hopeful that all three of these guys come back but would not be surprised if all three leave. Only a few more days for them to make a decision.
