Dog days of summer, nothing going on-which is a good thing
A friend of mine has asked me to give my thoughts about biggest impact freshman/newcomers for the 2011 season, so hopefully I will have time to do that tomorrow. Right now, just not much going on to blog about with it being summer and a month before practice starts. I guess though, considering the past few years, we should all be thankful all has been quiet during the spring and summer THUS FAR-HUGE knock on wood there. Of course being a huge Braves fans, I am really enjoying the current run they are on and hope it continues. When you look at their payroll vs the Phillies and Yankees, you look at how little guys like Uggla and even Heyward have contributed, looking at young kid playing 1B that is 21, Prado has been out for a month, Hanson and Beechy have both been on the DL, everyone worried a bit about the young guys in the set up and closer roles, I mean, this team can get even better in the second half. I think this team have a genuine shot to challenge those other two high spenders for a Series title this year. I am not sure they even need to make a move, just really depends on whether the Braves brass think Schaefer and or McClouth can get the job done in center. Oh yeah, Brian McCann is just a special player as well. All for today, I will blog tomorrow hopefully about UGA football. Remember, if you all have any ideas on something you want me to research/discuss, post a comment.
